Why more than 1 trial class?
Teachers tend to have a particular mix of teaching style. I call it their "teaching personality." Some rely on humor,  some are more relaxed,  some are more demanding in a trainer/coach kind of way - and everything in between.

Students respond differently to different teaching personalities. Some students prefer more or less autonomy in their lessons, more or less feedback, etc. That is why is important to have a sufficiently long enough trial period for us to make sure that we will work well together.

Having a longer trial period gives us a more accurate idea of what it might be like to work together. We will each get better acquainted with each other's "teaching/learning personality."
