Groups classes have benefits that individual classes cannot offer such as:

Confidence

Helping students get comfortable playing for people besides their teacher and family. It builds self-confidence and makes an easier transition into playing for audiences. Groups are perfect for shy students because they can blend with the group.

Less Pressure

The group dynamic helps alleviate the stress of one-on-one learning. By having the teacher's focus divided amongst students, it creates a more relaxed environment with less direct attention.

Motivation

Healthy competition drives self-motivated practice. Students will see others in their group play and will want to be as good, or better. Students tend to keep up with the pace of the group,

Accountability and Teamwork

Learning to play with and adapt to others is a crucial skill they will develop from group playing. Students will learn to rely on and be relied on in duo and ensemble situations.

Peer Learning

Students will get to listen to the feedback of other students in the class. Instead of knowing just their own perspective they will be exposed to other students strategies and viewpoints when they share their experience in the learning process.

The Class

The Group Class is once per week for 14 weeks. Class duration is 55-65 minutes. By the end of the course your child will learn how to A, B, and C. They will also have experience playing as an ensemble, in duos, and in-class for their classmates.
